Waldron Health Centre Services
The Amersham Vale Training Practice is a GP practice located in the Waldron Health Centre. The Waldron Health Centre also provides a wide range of community services available to anyone living in the surrounding area or registered with any local practice.
These services include reproductive and sexual health (family planning), rapid HIV testing, antenatal care, phlebotomy (blood samples), district nursing and health visiting, leg ulcer clinic, sickle cell care, enuresis (bed wetting) clinic, community dentistry, podiatry (foot health care), smoking cessation groups, speech and language therapy, community diabetes team and school nursing.

Health Visitors
The health visitors provide health visitor clinics in suite 1 on the ground floor on Tuesdays 1pm-2:45pm and Wednesdays 12-2:30pm. Phone 020 3049 3530.
Midwives
Midwives from Lewisham and St Thomas’s Hospital provide antenatal clinics in suite 1 on the ground floor of the Waldron Health Centre.

Reproductive and sexual health clinic
This department is located in Suite 8 on the 2nd floor. The clinic offers a wide range of contraceptive advice including long acting contraception. It also provides pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted infections testing and advice.

District Nurses
Your GP can arrange for the district nurse to visit you at home when necessary to help with the following:
- Dressings and Injections
- Diabetes care for housebound
- Care of the chronically sick, elderly or terminally ill
- Advice on incontinence and the supply of pads
- Advice on other agencies that may be able to provide help in the home
- Blood tests for people who are housebound

Blood Tests (Phlebotomy)
The Phlebotomy service is based on 2nd floor in Suite 9 at Waldron Health Centre. Visit this link to book your appointment or you can call the centralised number on 020 8333 3217 (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm)
Note: You must collect your blood form at least a day before your blood test appointment from Suite 5 as we do not open until 8am.
Breast feeding cafe
There is a breastfeeding cafe to provide practical and emotional support for breast feeding mothers on Thursdays 10am to 12 noon. Phone 020 3049 3475.
